What to have ready when you call
A few details help us diagnose faster and bring the right parts:
- The appliance and brand, for example "Samsung French-door refrigerator" or "LG front-load washer."
- The model number. A phone photo of the label is perfect. See where to find it below.
- What it's doing, including any error code, noise or smell, and when it started.
- Anything that changed, such as a recent power outage, storm, move or new installation.
- Your ZIP code or neighborhood, and any gate or access instructions.
Where to find your model number
- Refrigerator: a label inside the fresh-food compartment, usually on a side wall or the ceiling, sometimes behind the crisper drawers.
- Dishwasher: along the edge of the door or the side of the tub, visible with the door open.
- Washer: under the lid (top-load) or around the door opening or back panel (front-load).
- Dryer: inside the door opening or on the back panel.
- Range or wall oven: on the frame behind the oven door, or behind the storage/warming drawer.
While you wait
- Refrigerator not cooling: keep the doors closed. Move essentials to a cooler with ice if the repair will take a while.
- Leaking washer or dishwasher: turn off the water supply valve and switch the appliance off or unplug it.
- Dryer overheating or smelling hot: stop using it until it's been checked. See our dryer safety tips.
- Gas smell: leave the house and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. That's an emergency, not an appliance appointment.

If you're booking for a rental property, a family member or a home you're not living in yet, tell us who will be there to let us in, the best number to reach them, and any gate code or parking instructions. We'll explain the diagnosis and the price to whoever you choose before any work starts.
Before your visit
Please clear a path to the appliance and make sure there's room to pull it out if needed. Remove items from on top of or inside the appliance where practical, and keep pets in another room. If you have questions about cost, brands or scheduling, the FAQ covers the most common ones.
